As I'm sitting here we are having the biggest rain in almost 4 months of being here. Hallelujah! I have missed the rain. Big splashy, splooshy drops. Ahhh...... The smell of rain. The washing away of dust, dirt and dog poop (Spaniards don't regularly clean up after their dogs...watch out while walking down the sidewalk!).
Something we don't get much of in Oregon is big thunder and lightning. Today we are having a pretty good display in Valencia, along with a dark gray sky. I just LOVE it! OK, ask me again when we move back to Oregon and it's February. Send me back to this blog entry so I can remember how much I love the purifying, life-giving RAIN.
